I recorded another song yesterday. This song is part of my testimony. Each day, I have to remind myself that nothing in this life or on this earth will be more satisfying than my relationship with Christ. This song is called, Soul Satisfaction and it uses a play on words in the chorus, "sole," as in the only and "soul," as in your entire being. I pray that this song blesses you and honors God. I would love to hear your feedback. For more of my lyrics and music, check out Toni LaShaun Music. Enjoy! Ms. EV

This Friday's Fusion features a performance of Toni LaShaun from the Main Stage at the Landing in Jacksonville last week. The performance features, Don't You Worry, Soul Satisfaction, and Little Sister. Enjoy! Ms. EV Friday FUSION features music from me, singer/songwriter, Toni LaShaun Wortherly. Today's feature is lyrics only, as it will be recorded at a later date, but it sums up the experiences I have had while chasing after my dreams. The song is called FEARLESS! I wrote this song, as I do most of my songs in response to a sermon. I have spent much of my life letting fear of the unknown dictate what I do and how I do it. After hearing the sermon, I thought about how God is the ULTIMATE protector, provider and comforter, so I have nothing to fear, not even fear itself! Fearless Copyright © 2013 Toni L. Wortherly God has not given me The spirit of fear I don’t need to be concerned About what man does to me I may have some troubled times I may shed some tears But, I can look any storm in the eye and say: I am FEARLESS God is on my side I am FEARLESS In Him, I will abide I am FEARLESS Knowing God is in control I am FEARLESS No one can harm my soul I’m FEARLESS Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh…I’m FEARLESS Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh…I’m FEARLESS In God I trust And I will not be afraid To take a step forward To leap out on faith I may not understand The path to my dreams But, I can look any storm in the eye and say: I am FEARLESS God is on my side I am FEARLESS In Him, I will abide I am FEARLESS Knowing God is in control I am FEARLESS No one can harm my soul I’m FEARLESS Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh…I’m FEARLESS Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh…I’m FEARLESS With God as my light, whom shall I fear? With God as my strength, whom shall I fear? Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh…I’m FEARLESS Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh…I’m FEARLESS Do You Have an Android Phone? Download the Toni LaShaun Music App!
For the foreseeable future, Ms. EV's Blog will feature music from Toni LaShaun Music. Today's song is Soul Satisfaction. I wrote this song after listening to a sermon by my uncle. I started thinking about how I had often looked to everything and everyone else for satisfaction, rather than turning to God. I have not recorded the song yet, but I plan to feature it on my upcoming CD because it is a great testimony of my journey as I fell in love with Jesus. These are the lyrics: Soul Satisfaction Copyright © 2012 Toni Wortherly Come to the Water that won’t run dry Drink in all His love; it will satisfy If you’re thirsting and yearning from deep within If you go through the motions feeling unfulfilled Come and Drink Come and Drink Him In He is the sole satisfaction for the soul He can take all your broken pieces and make them whole There’s no greater peace, no greater joy, No greater love to find God alone will meet your needs He satisfies… He satisfies Come get your fill of the Living Bread Those who dine at His table will leave well-fed If you’re starving and weary, in Him, you can rest Accept His invitation and receive His best Come and Dine Come and Dine with Him He is the sole satisfaction for the soul He can take all your broken pieces and make them whole There’s no greater peace, no greater joy, No greater love to find God alone will meet your needs He satisfies… He satisfies Oh Lord, You alone will satisfy... Oh Lord, You alone will satisfy me He is the sole satisfaction for the soul He can take all your broken pieces and make them whole There’s no greater peace, no greater joy, No greater love to find God alone will meet your needs He satisfies… He satisfies Do you have an Android phone? For the foreseeable future, Ms. EV's Blog will feature music from Toni LaShaun Music. Today's song is Worth Dying For. This is the first one of mys songs that I ever professionally recorded. After hearing the finished product, I felt compelled to continue writing and recording. This song is in response to feeling unworthy of love. I went through a period in which I felt I was unlovable, but God reassured me that, not only does He love me, but He loves me so much that He thought I was worth dying for and fighting for. Enjoy! Ms. EV Worth Dying For Copyright © 2012 Toni L Wortherly I’ll never know why You felt that I Was worth dying for I can’t know the pain Can’t feel the hurt You endured But though You were never guilty You took my place before the Lord And You showed me I was worth dying for It’s hard to believe You look at me And think that I’m worth fighting for I’ve caused You such pain I feel so ashamed Oh Lord But You have never given up on me You bring peace in the midst of my storms And You showed me I am worth fighting for Before I ever took a breath of life You knew what my path would be You know I’d make mistakes, lose my way But You still loved me I am trying to do Your Will Live a life that will bring You glory That is my purpose to fulfill For the One who gave His all for me I’ll never know why You felt that I Was worth dying for It’s hard to believe You look at me And think that I’m worth fighting for So I won’t be ashamed To sing praises to Holy Name To show You You are worth living for Worth Dying for is available on Amazon, iTunes, and at the Toni LaShaun Music Store
For the foreseeable future, Ms. EV's Blog will feature music from Toni LaShaun Music. Today's song is He Never Fails. I cannot wait to record this song because I feel that it has the reminder that many of us need all the time that God can NEVER fail! If we can't think of anything in our own lives that proves this to be true, we can open the Bible and see so many testimonies of how God is ABLE!!! He Never Fails

Wortherly He never fails There’s no end to what my God can do Just trust in Him There’s no end to what my God can do Fill the barren Split the Sea Raise up a king From obscurity Know the future Forgive the past Create a Kingdom That will forever last He never fails There’s no end to what my God can do Just trust in Him There’s no end to what my God can do Turn water into wine Heal the lame Help the blind To see again Take on my sins Humbly bleed Rise from the dead For a wretch like me He never fails There’s no end to what my God can do Just trust in Him There’s no end to what my God can do For the foreseeable future, Ms. EV's Blog will feature music from Toni LaShaun Music. Today's song is Stay In My Lane. I wrote this song after waking up one day and realizing that I was getting upset over how God blessed others rather than focusing on where God was leading me. It is a great compliment to the blog earlier this week, Stay In Your Lane. I have not recorded it yet, but here are the lyrics: Stay In My Lane
© Copyright 2012 Toni L. Wortherly I have a chance At victory If I keep my mind Stayed on Thee If I’d stop looking Yo the right or left Maybe I could stop Envying someone else I have to stay in my lane Ket God take the wheel He has not steered me wrong And He never will Your road to success May differ from mine But we will get there In His perfect time Chorus God is so much wiser than me He sees the dangers that I cannot see He will change my direction Reroute my path Close doors that were opened To nothing but bad If I listen to His Spirit He will be my Guide For He knows what is best for me For He knows what is best for me For the foreseeable future, Ms. EV's Blog will feature music from Toni LaShaun Music. Today's song is Little Sister. I wrote this song in the car on the way home from Atlanta last April. My mom was on the phone listening to a friend talk about her daughter's relationship issues. As a heard the conversation, I just started writing everything I wanted to say to this young woman and everything I wish someone had said to me when my heart was broken. I don't have a little sister, but I am a little sister and i have several young women in my circle of influence for whom I care a great deal. This song is dedicated to them. If you know someone who could use it, please feel free to share this blog with her... Little Sister

Today's song is Don't You Worry. This song was written in 2004, just after I had graduated from law school. The dream career that I thought I would have for the rest of my life was not what I wanted, I was VERY single for the first time in a long time, and I was living with my parents. I have always been known as a worry wart, but I needed reassurance that everything would be okay. I found that reassurance in Philippians 4:4-9. It has been a long journey, but as I rejoice and think on praiseworthy things, God continues to work my circumstances out for my good. Ms. EV Don’t You Worry (Philippians 4:4-9) © Copyright 2004 Toni L. Wortherly Worry sneaks up in your mind Like a thief in the night Robbing you of your Godly peace You can’t see everything will be alright But if you kneel down and pray Thanking God everyday He will lead to the light He’ll help you to the other side Don’t fret or worry You don’t have to The Lord will never fail you Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing He is able to take care of you Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing For I know the Lord will see you through Doesn’t matter what’s going on with you He fixed it for me, He’ll help you too He’ll always step in on time Whether health is failing or bills are due So think of things that are pure and just And in sweet Jesus put all your trust Cast cares on Him for He cares for you With Him, there’s nothing you can’t do Don’t fret or worry You don’t have to The Lord will never fail you Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing He is able to take care of you Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing For I know the Lord will see you through Rejoice rejoice In every trial you go through Rejoice rejoice The peace of God will be with you Rejoice rejoice Even when things are getting hard Rejoice rejoice Make your requests known to God Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing He is able to take care of you Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing For I know the Lord will see you through If you enjoy the music you listen to here, you can purchase and download the song in the Toni LaShaun Music STORE.
